Teaching Philosophy

I am committed to fostering a love for music in students of every age and level, as well as teaching them to use their skills to give back to their community through music, using music as a tool for upliftment and inspiration. Playing cello enhances coordination, develops fine and gross motor skills, and helps students process emotions, develop positive self-talk, and build a healthy self-image. Facing challenges is integral to learning music, therefore I encourage a growth mindset, viewing setbacks as opportunities for growth. My goal is to nurture each student holistically, cultivating their musical passion, skills, emotional health, and perseverance.
